Our annual publication for leaders
There is a wildness to the terrain of leadership today. In this third volume of our leadership publication series we ask: what is the way of leadership?
We explore The Way of Leadership by drawing on an ethical framework. Together with ethicist Professor Josh Hordern from Oxford University, we offer five navigational “waymarks” for leaders: communal wells in the wilderness to guide leaders through the uncertain and relational complexity of the terrain. These wells beckon the leader towards wise paths to flourishing, not only for them, but those around them.
This third volume of Illuminaire Press interweaves these ethical waymarks with the overarching story of conflict and peace in a contested place - stories from our own place of Northern Ireland - and traces a narrative arc that encircles a way of leading through uncertainty and complexity. Using the Illuminaire lens of science, strategy and story, we explore with leaders a question of great possibility: “If the future is not fixed, what may now be emerging?”

Coaching for Leaders

Coming in September 2025: we are launching an executive coaching option for leaders, with Illuminaire coach Allison Hutchinson. Allison brings over 30 years of business leadership experience to executive coaching, with a track record of empowering personal success through better habit installations and developing a growth mindset. He has a Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching from the Association of Executive Coaching and is a qualified counsellor by the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapy.
