Frustrated that much of the research on leadership stays behind the closed doors of academic institutions, Illuminaire believes there is a need, now more than ever, to bring the latest data and insight to leaders across the world.
Illuminaire Institute was founded in 2022 with a mission to inspire transformation at individual, organisational, and societal levels through insights grounded in research, helping us learn how to live out leadership in our everyday lives.
In 2024, we proudly launched Illuminaire Press, an annual print and digital publication that makes the latest research accessible through storytelling and art. It's a beautifully curated collection of the best of leadership research and data, as well as insightful interviews and inspiring stories with leaders from around the globe.
In 2025, we launched Volume 2 of Illuminaire Press, as well as a range of masterclasses and workshops in organisations around the UK and globally, including work with the flagship leadership programmes of ANZSOG - the Australian New Zealand School of Government.
In 2026, we are continuing to expand our work, offering a full suite of in-organisation programmes for teams alongside launching Volume 3: The Way of Leadership. This publication, which has just launched in September 2026, has been a co-labour of love with renowned ethicist Professor Joshua Hordern from Oxford University, who joined us on this project to think through how to lead well in complex times.

Taking into account the serious and profound challenges facing leaders today, there is no doubt it is a time for strong and healthy leadership – leaders defined not by their superhero powers, but by their fruit - healthy signs of growth and multiplication around them.

We currently work with a wide variety of organisations within the private sector (SME’s to large organisations), public sector (government, healthcare and education institutions) and third sector (charities and social enterprises).
Do you cover other topics?

Do you travel outside the UK?
While most of our work thus far has been within the UK, Illuminaire has a global reach, and we have already received a great deal of interest in our work from organisations in other countries. If you are from outside the UK, please don’t see this as a barrier to working with us - do get in touch!
Do you offer coaching sessions?
Yes! We can deliver our work in collaboration with experienced executive coaches to deliver one-to-one coaching and professional skills development training with executives.
